当代中国研究的历史与现状

当代中国研究是自ｌ９４９年后在西方尤其是美国社会科学界形成的有关当代中国社会、经济、政治与文化诸方面的多学科研究,当代中国研究的发展与中国社会的发展密切相关,而它的具体形态是社会科学理论的流行范式和中国杜会的开放程度互动的结果,因此今天它已经成为包括中国学者参与的有关中国社会变迁与发展的一门综合性社会科学。

Contemporary China Studies: Past and Present

Contemporary China studies are multidisciplinary researches on contemporary Chinese society, economy, politics and culture done since 1949 by Western, especially American social sciences circles. The development of contemporary China studies is closely related to that of the Chinese society, and the specific pattern of the studies is the result of the interaction between the prevailing model of the social science theory and the degree to which the Chinese society has been opening to the outside world. Therefore, the studies have now become a comprehensive discipline of social sciences about the changes and development of the Chinese society with the participation of Chinese scholars.
