Study on the Population Aging in Northeast China:from the Perspective of Changes of Dependency Ratio

Population dependency ratio is an important indicator to mirror social and economic burdens,and its level depends mainly on changes of the population age structure.Old-age dependency ratio is an important indicator to reflect the degree of the regional population aging.The total dependency ratio in northeast China is at a low level in the country,and this relatively lower total dependency ratio is caused by the relatively lower child dependency ratio.Northeast China should avoid being misled by its relatively lower dependency ratio to ignore the population aging in the context of low dependency ratio.It should take advantage of the current window of opportunity to make preparations for the further population aging in the future.
