| Abstract: | It is generally believed that applied linguistic theory is only used by those linguists.Discourse analysis isn't related to language teaching,especially,teaching of writing.However,discourse analysis is of great importance in writing.If teachers try to use this applied linguistic theory in teaching and make students learn some knowledge of language theory such as discourse analysis,discourse coherence,and discourse cohesion.Writing is not difficult to students.In this paper,the author tries to take advantage of discourse analysis theory to guide the teaching of writing.In view of this theory,the theory can be combined with writing practice. |
