| 摘 要： | 本文主要关注的,一是二战后的美国对于自己在南亚地区利益的认识和对于印度的认识,二是从1947年印度独立到60年代中期印美关系的发展及其特点.文章指出,美国的对印政策从制定到实施首先考虑的是服从其全球战略,因此随美国的国家利益和国际环境的变化而变化,其行动也必然以"介入"和"撒手"更迭为特点,因此缺乏远见.

| Abstract: | The paper mainly concerns: first, the US understanding of India and its benefits in South Asia after the Second World War; second, the development of US-India relations from India's independence in 1947 to 1960s. In obedience to the US global strategy, the US India policy changed with its immediate interests and international situation. The result was that the US India policy inevitably took intervention and withdrawal by turns, and both of them were short-sighted. |
