A glance at American society's after-modern values: Rolston's ecological ethical thought centering on nature's value

On the basis of presenting and interpreting the ecological ethical thought centering on the nature's values put forward by prestigious American after-modern philosopher-Prof.Rolston,the author had a good analysis of the American after-modern social values through his serious study on new values of the nature.During the process of study,he at the same time once again confirmed his belief and got the conclusion that the improvement of both language competence and intercultural communication competence relies to a large extent on the deep understanding of the language's social-cultural values.At last the author summarized the significant enlightenments given by the American after-modern values of the nature and shared them with all the English learners and intercultural communicators.
