| Abstract: | English idioms constitute one focus of contemporary linguistic research,into which scholars have made researches from various angles.This article attempts to explore the cognitive motivation of English idioms from a brand-new perspective,that is,conceptual integration theory.The research suggests that conceptual integration network serves to account for the understanding of English idioms. |
