| 摘 要： | 赛珍珠的创作以她1934年回美国为分界线呈现出两个时期,这两个时期她的中国题材的作品都受到了中国读者和学者的诟病,这是有深层次的文化原因的。而她在《群芳亭》中所显现的美国中心主义的文化立场是削弱该作品影响力度的重要原因之一,也给全球化时期异质文化交流问题提供了反面参照。

| Abstract: | Pearl S.Buck and her works of Chinese themes,in the two stages of her writings,divided by her returning to America in 1934,have been harshly criticized by Chinese readers and scholars for her different attitudes towards Western culture and Chinese culture.The weakness of Pavilion of Women is partially attributed to her attitude of American-centralism to other cultures revealed in this novel,which implies a great deal to us in intercultural communication in the age of globalism. |
