易堂九子与江苏遗民交游考述

清初,易堂九子以文章、气节声震天下,除惮力著述授徒之外,遍交天下之友也是他们所苦心经营的一项重要“事业”,其中主要以遗民为主。吴中历来为人文荟萃之地,易堂九子于国变后频繁往来于吴地,与其地诸遗民缔结良谊,这既与其遗民情怀有关,又是其经世思想的体现,具有丰富的历史意蕴,在清初具有典范意义。

The Friendship between the Nine Writers in Yi Tang and Anhui Adherents of the Ming Dynasty

In the early period of the Qing Dynasty, the Nine Writers of the School of Yi Tang made a name for their works and personal integrity. Besides writing and teaching, they undertook to fight for their cause which is to make acquaintance of various persons as many as possible across the country, the adherents of the collapsed Ming Dynasty in particular. Due to the fact that the central and southern Jiangsu Province was a cultural centre of the then China, the Nine Writers of the Yitang School used to frequent this piece of land after the overthrow of the Ming Dynasty and therefore made many friends among those Jiangsu adherents of the Ming Dynasty, which resulted from their feeling towards the Ming Dynasty as well as their consciousness of saving the then society. Their emotions and thinking revealed a rich historical awareness and thus had a typical meaning in the early period of the Qing Dynasty.
