| 摘 要： | 中国古典名著《红楼梦》体现了中华民族的语言文化特色，杨宪益、戴乃迭所译的英文本ADream of Red Mansions堪称《红楼梦》英译的上乘之作。本文从中西思维的差异视角，运用韩礼德的篇章衔接理论，挖掘英汉语篇在衔接上存在差异的内在原因，揭示汉英主语省略差异的深层成因。
