| Abstract: | Huang Chunming is a novelist of local colorism in Taiwan. His novels were “re-discovered” in 1980s after being left out in the cold. This article traces the inner roots of “discovery” from the perspectives of culture and identity, and explores and confirms the cultural significances of Huang Chunming’s novels. |
