On the Rational Use of Natural Resources and Overcome Poverty

With the knowledge of economics, ecology and environmental study, this paper discusses the close connection between economic poverty and poor use of the natural resources. It points out that economic backwardness and ecological imbalance, which is the result of irrational exploitation of the natural resources, tend to interact upon each other. To overcome poverty, we must reduce our dependence on the land resources, make better use of the human resources, increase the proportion of non arable land resources and improve the marginal productivity.
