巴人始祖、方国考辨

作者在所著《巴风土韵》论巴人族源的基础上,对巴人的始祖和方国作了进一步的考辨。作者认为,巴人的始祖是西部的伏羲,非东部的太。先秦时,伏羲与太是两位不同的古帝;汉儒把伏羲与太混为一谈,引起了一些误解。商代,巴人有巴方和虎方两个方国,巴方在陕南,虎方在鄂北,后者是从前者分衍出来的。

A Textual Research into the Primitive Ancestry and Chiefdom of Ba People

On the basis of the book, Style of Ba People's Culture by Dong Luo, this paper makes a further study of the primitive ancestry and chiefdom of Ba People. It is pointed out in this paper that the primitive ancestry was Fuxi in western China, instead of Dahao in eastern China, and Fuxi and Dahao were two different ancient emperors in pre-Qin Dynasty; the scholars confuse Fuxi with Dahao; in Shang Dynasty, Ba People had two chiefdoms, Ba chiefdom in western Shanxi province and Tiger chiefdom in northern Hubei province, and the latter derived from the former.
