The Impact of the Interaction between Nationalism and Political Culture upon the Relationships between KMT and CPC in the Great Revolution

The political union of the KMT and the CPC in the early period of the Great Revolution(1924-1927) can be interpreted from a new perspective,the interaction between nationalism and political culture.In 1919,China witnessed the May 4th Movement,which gave birth to the modern Chinese nationalism,a basis of the formation of political culture.The formation,a natural result of the political choices by the two parties,that a modern country could only be born through a national revolution,provided the milieu for their unification.The new perspective is useful when it comes to the examination of the relationships between the two parties and across the Straits.
