现代化、全球化与文化自觉——对传统日常生活的双重批判及其思考

2 0世纪中国社会所经历的种种文化危机几乎都是由西方文化的入侵导致的。如果说中国的自觉的改革开放与现代化建设是对传统日常生活世界的自我实践性批判 ,那么相对而言 ,近代西方文化的冲击 ,以及目前正在引起世界普遍关注的全球化进程则是一种来自外部的对传统日常生活的批判。新世纪的中国必将承载着这样一种双重的批判走向新生和强大。本文立足于马克思唯物史观 ,通过现代化、全球化对传统日常生活基础和思维模式的冲击 ,分析了中国目前文化转型所面临的机遇和挑战 ,并提出了以积极进取的姿态迎接全球化浪潮的文化策略。

Modernization, Globalization, and Cultural Self-consciousness--A Dual Criticism and Reflections on Traditional Daily Life

Virtually all the cultural crises that the Chinese socie ty undertook i n the 20th century were caused by the invasion of the Western culture. If the se lf-conscious reform and opening-up and the modernization construction in China i s the self practical criticism of the world of traditional daily life, then comp aratively, the impact of the Western culture and the current course of globaliza tion that is causing widespread world concern is the extrinsic criticism of the traditional daily life. China in the new century is marching towards new life an d strength with this dual criticism. Based on the materialistic perspective of h istory and through an impact of modernization, globalization on the foundation a nd thinking patterns of the traditional daily life, this article undertakes an a nalysis of the opportunities and challenges that confront the current cultural t ransition in China and proposes cultural strategies of meeting waves of globaliz ation with an active and positive attitude.
