试析净土宗的善恶观

本文在佛教思想发展的背景下,从比较文化的角度系统考察了净土宗的善恶观,确定了净土宗伦理思想的特点。净土宗强调“他力”,同时又主张“佛性本具”,认为善并非源于信仰,不是对于教主的迎合,也不是源于他力对自己罪业的赦免;善来源于于自身之佛性,通过惭愧、忏悔、修行得以显现。在善恶观上,净土宗坚持了佛教立足于人的本怀,从而区别于其他宗教思想。

A Study of the View of Good and Evil of the Pure Land Buddhism

The article, based on the development of Buddhist thought, studies systematically the view of Good and Evil of the Pure Land Buddhism from the perspective of comparative culture. The Pure Land Buddhism emphasizes the "other-power", but regards buddhatva as inherent at the same time. Believing that Good comes only from ourselves, not from faith or from the pardon of our evil by the "other-power", the Pure Land Buddhism adheres to the traditional Buddhist belief that the way to deliverance lies in one's own behaviour, which is quite different from other religions.
