施蛰存从弗洛伊德那里获得潜意识和变态性心理的精神分析理论,从而改变了中国传统小说通过人物语言、行动等外部形态来表现人物的写作方法,将笔触深入到人物的心灵深处,以及无意识、潜意识之中。几乎每篇小说都写了主人公潜意识的自然流露和变态性心理,只是或浓或淡,或急或缓,浓者急者,便像精神病患者,行为怪诞荒谬,如魔鬼缠身;淡者缓者,也是性格异常,令人不可思议。但是施蛰存对弗洛伊德学说的态度是“受其影响,又摆脱影响”,从而创作出既创新又有民族特点的小说。

Shi Zhecun: Influenced by, but Also Trying to Flee from Freud

Shi Zheeun learned Freud＇s theories of subconsciousness and abnormal psycho-analysis and changed the writing methods emphasizing characters＇ external features of language and movement in traditional Chinese fiction to touching on unconsciousness and subconsiousness. Almost every novel by Shi deals with hero＇s natural expression of subconsiousness and abnormal psychology, only differing in depth and strength. His writing shows his attitude towards Freud, that is, being influenced by him, but also trying to flee from him.
