习语是英语中精华的部分,对外语学习者来说也是难学的部分.探索英语习语记忆的有效方法和规律无论对于二语习得还是英语教学研究都很有意义.研究证明,英语习语的结构是可分解的,有规律可循的.其中Boers和Lindstromberg 2005年发现,英语习语中不少都有压头韵的特点,并且这一特点能够促进学习者对习语的记忆.文章在该研究的基础上采用实证研究的方法探讨了头韵在不同的实验任务中对中国英语学习者记忆英语习语的意义和习语的形式应有的作用.
