Philosophy and the Mass Jewish Conversion to Christianity at the End of 14th Century

Philosophy was intensively studied by and widely spread among Spanish Jews in the 13th century.A century later,an unprecedentedly large number of Jews converted to Christianity in the wake of riots.The Jews were given the choice of death or baptism.Is this mass conversion rooted in the fact that the study of philosophy had weakened the faith of Jews? This research shows that the conversion is primarily the result of the then historical background in which Jews found themselves in European Christendom rather than the consequence of some of the philosophical heresies held by a few then Jewish philosophers.
