从对立到位移——试论西方传统自由主义与传统保守主义的相互关系

17世纪到19世纪的传统自由主义与保守主义处于对立甚至敌对的状态.19世纪末20世纪初,西方传统自由主义和传统保守主义互相吸收对方的基本主张为自己的基本主张,从而使传统自由主义演变为新保守主义,而传统保守主义则演变为新自由主义.本文试在论述西方传统自由主义与保守主义由对立到位移的同时,探寻出现这种现象的主要原因.

From Contradiction to Displacement --Discussion on the interrelationship between traditional liberalism and conservatism

From the 17th century. to the 19th century, th e traditional liberalism & conservatism we re in the state of opposition ,even hostile. In the late of the 19th century and the early of the 20th century, they absorbed the essential opinions from each other and re garded them as their own .Thus ,the traditional liberalism evolved into the new conservatism ,while the traditional conservatism evolved into the new liberalism. This paper tries to discuss the process of their evolvement, and at the same time,to fin d out the reasons of this phenomena.
