| Abstract: | Based on the classical elastic-plastic theory,an elastic-plastic finite element program is developed respectively for perfect elastic-plastic material and kinematic hardening material.It is concluded that the finite element results can simulate the stable crack growth and the fatigue crack growth retardation following overload. |
