Early Examples of Realism in Europe——on the Dutch School of Art

In the 19th-century Europe, numerous realists in art appeared, who created many artistic works and formed the mainstream of the artistic field in Europe. But what affected them most was not ancient Greek or Rome in southern Europe, nor Italy with its excellent cultural traditions,but the brothers Van Eyck from Nederland in northern Europe and H. V. Rembrandt from Holland. It was them who set examples in techniques and styles for realism in Europe.
