清治以后台湾朱子学的兴起

清朝在统一台湾后,为了消除明郑时期的反清思想,致力于提倡注重个人道德修养、利于稳定封建社会秩序的朱子学,以达到移风易俗、巩固清朝在台湾统治的目的。在朝廷倡导和闽台官员的共同努力下,通过学校教育,朱子学迅速在福建得到复兴并向台湾传播,在康熙至乾隆时期成为台湾儒学的主流,并对台湾社会文化和教育产生重大影响。

The Rise of Zhu Xi's Philosophy in Taiwan in the Qing Dynasty

After reunifying Taiwan and the Chinese mainland,the Qing government advocated studying Zhu Xi's philosophy which emphasized cultivation of individual morality and which was beneficial in stabilizing China's feudalistic social order,so as to eradicate the anti-Qing thoughts advocated during the late Ming Dynasty when Zheng Chenggong took over Taiwan from the Dutch invaders,to change old customs and habits,and to consolidate the rule of the Qing Dynasty over Taiwan.With the co-effort of imperial officials and functionaries from Fujian and Taiwan,the philosophy of Zhu Xi revived quickly in Fujian through school education and then spread to Taiwan to become the mainstream Confucianism on the island during the reigns of Kangxi and Qianlong.Zhu Xi's philosophy had a great impact on the socio-cultural and educational development in Taiwan.
