从海防意识看中国近代衰落的原因

海洋和海洋文明孕育了一个又一个强国,而一支强大的海军又是一个强大国家的重要标志。近代中国之衰落无疑同其海防的衰败相关。封建专制、腐败和意识形态落后,特别是在海洋问题上的陈腐观念,导致中国在近代被列强欺辱。所以,一个国家、一个民族对待海洋的态度,从某种程度上就决定了其自身的命运。因此,我们要努力教育和鼓励我们的国民面向海洋、面向世界、面向太空、面向未来。中华民族的和平崛起和伟大复兴须臾离不开海洋。

China's Decline without the Sense of Coast Defense during the Modern Period

Whether a country can control its oceans or not is decisive for its own fate since a strong navy is a sign and safeguard of a country. China had been bullied and humiliated during the modern period since the Qing government was corrupt, backward, and specially lack the sense of coast defense. We should try our best to face the oceans and build a strong sense of coast defense because we can not rise without an opening and peaceful ocean.
