英语教学研究方法论探讨——定性研究与定量研究在英语教学中的个案分析

本文根据目前英语教学研究方法论使用严重匮乏的现状,提出我们目前的英语教学研究不仅亟需方法论作指导,而且亟需严谨科学的方法论的使用和操作。本文通过定量分析和定性分析的个案研究,并通过个案研究在方法论实际操作过程方面的对比和分析,揭示了定量和定性研究对英语教学理论与研究具有实质性的指导作用,进而揭示其在英语教学中的合理运用途径。此外,本文认为在英语教学研究领域实施方法论探索必将促进英语教师实际教学能力的提高和英语教学研究的实质性进展。

On Methodology in English Teaching Research——Case Studies on Qualitative Research and Quantitative Research in English Teaching

This paper, based on the fact that the College English teaching in China is seriously deficient in methodology research, argues that the College English teaching is not only in the need of the right guidance of research methodology, but in the urgent need of appropriate use of it. In this sense, the paper points out an access to go to qualitative and quantitative researches in the College English teaching by comparing and analyzing two case studies on qualitative and quantitative approaches respectively. It indicates that research methodology is the crucial way towards the improvement of the College English teachers and the development of the research on the College English teaching.
