夏朝夷夏关系新说

1933年,傅斯年发表《夷夏东西说》一文,提出夏商周三代在政治地理上表现为夷夏东西对立两个系统的观点,在学术界有着长期而广泛的影响。但细考史实,夏代无论是夷与夏的冲突与对立,还是东夷对夏王朝天下共主地位的认同和臣服,都是一个统一贵族国家内部发生的事。因此,夏朝的夷夏关系单用东西对立是不能完全概括的,所谓夏朝统治包括夷人区域也只有从夏朝国家结构层面来理解,才能真正认清历史的本相。

New View of the Relationship Between Yi and Xia

In 1933,Fu Sinian published one article The East-West Opposition Betwween Yi and Xia.He put forward the view that the xia-shang-zhou dynasties showed two East-West oppositive systems of Yi and Xia in political geography,which has had a long and extensive influence on academia.But careful examination of historical facts,either on the conflict and opposition between Yi and Xia,or on the East Yi’s identity and surrender on the Xia Dynasty’s world position,they are the internal events of the unitied aristocrat country.Therefore,in Xia Dynasty,it is not a complete summary if we say that the relationship between Yi and Xia is a single East-West opposition relationship.The so-called Xia dynasty rule included the Yi area,which only from the Xia Dynasty’s national structure level,we can truly understand and grasp the historical truth.
