鲁迅与汉姆生——谨以此文纪念作为“现代派文学之父”的汉姆生诞辰150周年

汉姆生是鲁迅曾着力评介的挪威作家,但两人的关系一直疏于研究。鲁迅对于汉姆生的兴趣,一是他的创作为鲁迅改造国民性提供了正面参照：在汉姆生那里,挪威民族所表现出来的自省、救赎、宽大、包容、坚韧、顽强等民族性格,成为鲁迅改造中国民族性格的重要标的;而汉姆生的以现代主义手法令文学对现实生活的描写达到传统现实主义作品难以企及的细腻与深度,使同样进行了现代主义创作的鲁迅感觉亲切,获得共鸣。这确实进一步昭示出鲁迅与世界文学发展同步的伟大战略眼光。同时,鲁迅也指出汉姆生作品的不足,宣称他并非是一个真正的左翼作家,引起我们对汉姆生后来的政治堕落与其思想创作有无联系的深层思考。

Lu Xun and Hamsun:For the 150th Anniversary of the Birth of Hamsun,the "Father of Modern Literature"

Hamsun,a Norwegian writer,has been strongly recommented and positively commented by Lu Xun,though their relationships have been neglected.Lu Xun is interested in Hamsun because Hamsun＇s works provided a positive reference for Lu Xun＇s thinking of national character.The national character of Norwegian is showed in Hamsun＇s works,such as introspection,salvation,lenience,tolerance,perseverance and tenacity.All of these had been the important target for which LuXun reformed Chinese national character.While Hamsum described the reality with modernism and reached the elusive exquisite and depth that the traditional realism can do.LuXun felt very gracious to the modernism and got the resonance.It illustrate LuXun＇s great insight which is developed with the world literature.At the same time,LuXun also pointed out the lack of Hamsun＇s work and declared that Hamsun is not a a real left-wing writers.It is incited to the deep thinking about whether Hamsun＇s thought and works are linked to his political depravation.
