从《翼教丛编》看叶德辉的学术思想

湖南维新运动时的新旧之争 ,不仅是一场政治立场之争 ,也是一场学术文化之争。从《翼教丛编》及叶德辉其它的学术活动与主张来看 ,其反对变法 ,在学术文化上至少有三个原因 :其一 ,出于保守传统文化的立场 ;其二 ,经学研究中的汉学取向 ,使他不能同意维新派的一些主张 ,如蔑视训诂、追求大义等 ;其三 ,从古文经学的角度出发 ,叶德辉崇《左传》斥《公羊》 ,不同意新派人士对公羊学的鼓吹。这些主张自有其学理的根据 ,但他反对维新变法 ,逆历史潮流而动 ,仍然是要批判的。

On Ye De-Hui's Academic Thoughts as Reflected in Yijiao Congbian

The controversy between the Reform Group and the Conservative Group in Hunan 1898 Reform Movement was not only a controversy on political stands, but also a controversy on academy. Ye De-Hui was famous for opposing reform. The reason is mainly to maintain traditional culture. From his point of view, the academic thoughts of the Reform Group were wrong. He insisted that Han Confucian Classics and Zhu Xi be adored, that Zuo Zhuan be right and Gong Yang be refuted. Although there are some reasonable factors in his academic thoughts, it is not suitable to oppose reform movement through academy.
