On the Culture Connotation from the perspective of Western and Chinese Address Forms

There is a great deal of differences between western and Chinese languages for the using of address forms..In the form of kinship terms,Chinese is much detailed than western languages.Chinese not only pays attention to etiquette,discriminating modest words from honorifics,but also stresses on immediate & extended family members and nuclear & distant family.In social terms,Chinese expressive pattern is much plentiful.Differences in histories and concepts and religious beliefs between east and west bring on difference in social terms.Only when one masters the culture connotation,can he understand and use address forms properly and communicate interculturally smoothly.
