| Abstract: | This paper expounds the process and influence of the transmission of Western science and technology to the East in the 17th -18th centuries, points out that the following factors mainly hindered China from establishing modern scientific structure: 1) Chinese traditional science lacked primitive scientific structure based on the paradigm of Euclidean geometry in ancient Greece; and 2) Chinese feudal social structure did not in agreement with the development of modern sciences. |
