扬州昆班曲社考

明清两代,扬州的职业昆班和家庭昆班同时兴盛。清代康熙和乾隆历次南巡,盐商巨贾为接驾而组班献演,使扬州成了全国剧坛的中心,造成了昆腔“七大内班”的特殊声势。光绪年间,“扬州老洪班”进驻上海,在集秀戏园公演了五个多月,实力惊人。此外,扬州又流行业余的昆曲清唱,时至今日,扬州的曲社仍一脉相承。这是扬州具有深厚文化积淀的突出表现

A study of Yangzhou's kunqu opera troupes

During the Ming and Qing dynasties, professional kunqu opera troupes and family kunqu opera troupes flourished simultaneously in Yangzhou. And owing to Kangxi's and Qianlong's southwardly inspection tours and the opera performances organized there by the merchants to entertain them, Yangzhou became the national opera center and the seven great troupes of kunqu opera came into being. Later, during the rule of Guangxu, “Yangzhou LaoHong Troupe" went to shanghai and gave perfomance in Jixiu Theatre for more than five months, thereby displaying its amazing power. Meanwhile, amateur kunqu opera arias singing also became popular in Yangzhou. Up to now, the opera troupes in Yangzhou can still be traced to the same origin, which manifested the solid cultural foundation of the city.
