此研究通过对澳大利亚、德国、香港、以色列、墨西哥、瑞典、英国和美国等八个国家和地区在高校从事学术性职业的男女学者的调查,探讨了两性在工作条件、教学、科研、国际化、行政与管理等主题上存在的共同性和差异性。由于从事学术工作的女性越来越多,要在学术界获得成功,必须了解学术界男女学者的特性,知己知彼,扬长避短。此研究可为学术界的女性和女性研究者提供参考。

An international comparative study in gender difference in academic professions

This study has explored the gender differences and similarities from the cross - culture perspectives through a survey on the attitudes of scholars from Australia, German, Hongkong, Israel, Mexico, Sweden, United Kingdom, and the United States about working conditions, teaching, research, international exchanges, administration and management. With more and more women entering the academic circle , the results may help the women to be successful in their careers by knowing both men and women' s superiority and inferiority.
