| 摘 要： | 文章从文字理论、文字起源、言文关系、文字功能地位、文字载体与书体等五个方面概了述近年来国外古文字研究的成果，并将其纳入广义文字学的研究范畴。广义文字研究对我们深入讨论汉字起源、文字功能地位等文字学的重大问题提供了可靠的参照系，值得我们去重视。

| Abstract: | This paper summarizes the recent advances in the abroad studies of ancient writings from five aspects which are classified into ＂the study of broad-sense writing＂ by the author： theory of writing, origin of writing, relation between writing and language, function of writing, and vehicle of writing. The study of broad-sense writing has provided us with a reliable reference frame for the further study of the major questions of origin and function of Chinese writing. It is worth of attention. |
