| Abstract: | This paper aims to highlight Lu Zhenyu's contributions to Marxist historical
science by introducing the most important fruition of his outstanding devotion to the study of
historical science over half a century, and by describing how he has kept pace with the times
and guided himself by materialistic dialectical conception of history to investigate Chinese his-
tory and open up one new field of research after another. On the basis of the above-men-
tioned exposition, an analysis is made of the characteristics of his system of historical science
in such aspects as historiography, the study of historical materials, and historical outlook. |
