战后初期中日贸易关系的发展,与美国的冷战战略以及反映该战略的外交政策休戚相关.朝鲜战争爆发前,中美关系尚未达致完全恶化的地步.鉴于中国市场对日本经济复兴至关重要的作用,考虑到通过日中贸易关系来离间中苏关系的可能性,再加之日本政府和民间部门对中日贸易的强烈期待,美国政府对日本发展对华贸易关系持一种比较宽容的态度.虽然它也把意识形态的因素强加于中日贸易关系之上,但还是允许中日双方在一定范围内进行有限的贸易往来.这使日本外贸状况得到一定程度的改善.美国在日本的经济负担自然亦得以减轻.

American Cold War Strategies and Sino-Japanese Trade Relations(1948-1950)

The development of Sino-Japanese trade relations after World War II just ended with close connection with American Cold War strategies and its foreign policy reflecting the strategies.Before the Korean War broke out,Truman Administration kept tolerant attitudes for the development of Sino-Japanese trade relations.State Department was the primary party insisting on this policy.Thus,Japan's trade condition was improved correspondingly,and American economical burden in Japan was reduced.
