| Abstract: | This paper studies the esthetic characteristics and linguistic features of the
Chaozhou comic operas created by Mr Zhang Huayun through an analysis of three aspects
the intermingling of sorrows with joys, the seeking of difference from among similarities, and
the wide use of satiric yet euphemistic expressions. |
