| Abstract: | Li Da-zhao once attached himself to the editorial work for a number of newspapers and periodicals, which included New Youth. He maintained a freedom of speech and publication, and argued against any ideological confinement and cultural monarchy. He also proposed a mission for the press: critical exposure; care for the politics; enlightenment of the masses; reconstruction of the Chinese nation. |
