公民的政治参与权与政治防卫权

党的十七大报告提出要“保障人民的知情权、参与权、表达权、监督权。”公民的政治参与权和政治防卫权（含盖知情权、表达权和监督权）是公民基本政治权利的核心，也是基本人权。公民运用这些权利，不但经由人大、政协等国家机构来表达民意，行使人民权力；而且要能以公民个人和社会组织的身份，直接参与管理国家和社会事务，并从中实现“人民当家作主”。

Citizen's right to participate in politics and right to political defense

Our Party proposed in the 17th National Congress that people shall have the right to know,to participate,to express and to supervise in the state affairs.Citizen's right to participate in politics and the right to political defense(including right to know,to express and to supervise) is not only the core of the citizen's basic political rights but also fundamental human rights.The citizen uses these rights to express their intentions and exercise their power through such state institutions as People's Congress and Political Consultative Conference and expresses public opinions.Moreover,by taking part in the name of citizen and social organizations in the country 's affairs,they act as masters of the country.
