What Should We Learn from Professor Fei Xiaotong

Based on the works of Professor Fei Xiaotong,the author tried to make an interpretation about the real meaning of his teaching style,idea of discipline construction and his feelings of academic.The author believes that leading students to explore what that is unknown and to learn from practice is Fei’s teaching philosophy;developing knowledge of Sociology and Anthropology from the practice of the people and making good use of the knowledge to improve the people’s living is Fei’s real idea of discipline’s construction;caring not only his people but all human being is Fei’s aim of academic investigation,and all these thoughts of Fei are as important as a light for those in the darkness.
