| Abstract: | The relief policy of Late Qing in Hunan Province mainly inherited the traditions of previous dynasties,chiefly including such measures as the urgent relief,the exemption and postponement of taxes,the sales of grain in ganaries at fair prices in years of famine,the labor for food relief,disaster relief,which,to some extent,contributed to the relief of the starving people. |
