大国成长是在国际社会中的成长，它包括物质性成长和社会性成长，我国要成为真正的大国。就必须关注社会性成长，尤其要关注国家形象的塑造。文化背景的差异，使中西方在语言使用、政治理念、国家行为模式等方面造成了矛盾和冲突，并影响了西方媒体舆论中的中国形象。我们应当树立在语言上与国际接轨的思想，增强“信息吸引力”，加强与西方国家在各个层面上的文化交流，破除中西方之间的理解鸿沟，以塑造良好的国家形象。

Cultural Differences between China and the Western Countries and the National Image of China ---Under the Background of the Growth of A Great Power

The growth of a great power is the growth in the international communities, which includes the physical growth and social growth. China must concern the social growth especially the national image if wanted to be a really great power. Differences in cultural background between China and the Western countries, such as language, political ideas, behavior patterns of the country cause contradictions and conflicts, and affect public opinions of China＇ image in the Western medias. We should establish the good national image of China by all the ways.
