| 摘 要： | 美国文化是源于欧洲大陆的清教文化,由清教徒移民新大陆时输入北美,并在北美大陆找到了广阔的发展空间,异化为美国的白人文化.这种文化在美利坚民族形成过程中起了重要作用,美国人主流价值观的渊源都可上溯到北美殖民时代一统天下的清教信仰.

| Abstract: | American culture originates from Puritanism brought by Puritans from Europe to North America when they emigrated to the new continent. Puritanism flourished in North American and was later transformed to WASP culture. This culture played a significant role in the formation of the American nation. The principal values embraced by the American people can all be traced back to the puritan values which prevailed in New England during the colonial period. |
