| Abstract: | Two kinds of range contraction in Chinese vocabulary usage are described.And then the causes of this phenomenon are analyzed.The research shows that the main factor is synonymy substitution,which concludes loanwords,abbreviations,overseas-used Chinese words and dialects. |
