高校艺术专业英语教材选择——“语言输入”假设理论视角

摘    要:高校艺术专业英语教学中遇到的困难除了该专业学生英语基础差之外,所用的教材也是原因之一。英语教材是学生获取英语输入的主要渠道,只有针对使用者特点编写的英语教材才能发挥最大限度地帮助他们学习英语。目前高校艺术专业的英语课程教材多借用其他非英语专业的英语教材,这些教材都不是针对艺术专业的学生编写,很难激发该专业学生学习英语的积极性。美国学者克拉申提出的"语言输入"假设理论在教材难度,教材内容以及教材内容编排上都为高校艺术专业英语教材的选择提供了有效指引,可以作为艺术专业教材选择的指南。

Abstract:The difficulties that college English teachers meet in their teaching in the department of arts are caused not only by those students,who are weak in English,but also by the teaching materials.English teaching materials are the main channel that Chinese students accept English input and only when those materials are designed according to the specialties of users can they be helped best in their English study.However,the English teaching materials used by college arts major are usually not the ones specially designed for them but the ones used by other non-English majors,which are hard to motivate them to study English.Therefore,the selection of proper teaching materials for these students is of desperate necessity,which can be conducted under the guidance of language input hypothesis theory put forward by Krashen,an American scholar.This theory gives clear standards for the texts to be used as the teaching materials for art majors in aspects of types,difficulties and contents arrangement.
