多元文化主义与欧洲移民治理

第二次世界大战后,进入欧洲的外国移民大量增加,形成了不同文化族群在欧洲共存的状态,也为移民的治理带来了难题。自20世纪80年代以来,欧洲一些主要国家相继采取了多元文化政策,尽管多元文化主义声称尊重文化的多样性、各种文化平等共存,但其实施结果却与人们的期望相去甚远,甚至造成文化区隔,刺激了欧洲极端排外势力的增长,并导致了少数族裔长期居于弱势地位,不能融入主流社会,成为引发社会骚乱的一大根源。

Multi-culturalism and Immigration Governance in Europe

Since the end of the Second World War,the number of immigrants entering into Europe has increased greatly,Peoples of different cultural background coexist in Europe and major European governments adoptd multi-culturalist policy for the governance of immigrants.Although multi-culturalism declares it respects culture diversity,and advocates equal co-existence of different cultures,the result is not at all satisfactory:Multi-culturalism,instead of promoting the integration,causes fragmentation of peoples of different cultural backgrounds.It stimulates xenophobia in Europe,and further aggravates the weak social status of the immigrants.
