论修辞学与语用学的关系及二者的发展方向

本文从讨论修辞、修辞学和语用、语用学的定义入手,重点讨论了修辞学和语用学的关系及二者的发展方向。修辞学和语用学虽有相同或相近之处,但是它们是两门平行发展的学科,其异远远大于同。现有不少关于修辞学和语用学关系的看法之所以不妥,一个重要原因是对修辞学、语用学的理解有误。近年兴起的"接受修辞学"、"修辞控效说"、"语用修辞学"等修辞学新论难以经得起推敲。革新中国修辞学的可取之道是多做原创性研究,多修正业已发现的缺陷,多研究口语修辞,而不是在概念上标新立异,创立未经扎实论证、也没有原创性成果支持的各种修辞学假想。

The Relationship Between Rhetorics and Pragmatics and Their Developing Trends

Starting from defining rhetoric,pragmatic as well as rhetorics and pragmatics,this paper dwells mainly on the relationship between rhetorics and pragmatics and their developing trends.It is argued that rhetorics and pragmatics are parallel disciplines with far more differences than similarities.The inappropriate perspectives concerning their connections derive from the misunderstanding of the two disciplines.Also briefly analyzed in the paper is the invalidity of currently prevailing categories such as 'Reception Rhetoric' and 'Rhetoric Modulating'.To innovate Chinese rhetoric studies,it is advisable to conduct original researches,to modify existed weaknesses,and to apply oral materials,rather than reconceptualizing,or formulating those unverified rhetorical categories.
