| Abstract: | As is well known, British empiricism is the philosophical foundation of liberalism. This article deals with the inherent relation between the liberalism theory and David Hume's philosophy and ,at the same time, elaborate the logical process of the degeneration of idealism in modern times into totalitarianism 20th century. Furthermore, it demonstrates that Hume's epistemology and his causality theory underlies liberalism theory and elucidate that liberalism originated in Hume's philosophy. |
