| Abstract: | This article introduces and analyzes the bardic works of two Russian poets of the second half of the 20th century. One is Bulat Okyjava, the initiator of this type of art, and the other is Vladimir Vysotsky, the most famous bard famed as "Voice for the heart of a nation". The works of the two show different features, but all have had great influences, serving as a psychological symbol and a spiritual support for Russian people in that specific age. Their creative work and performances have been so widely accepted and imitated that they have actually formed an extremely distinctive cultural phenomenon. |
