| 摘 要： | 蔡元培先生倡导的教育革新思想和实践，使北京大学成为传播新文化、新思想的中心．其教育革新思想的基本精神是：思想自由、兼容并包。在这一办学方针的指导下，“五四”运动时期的风云人物齐集北京大学，各种学术研究团体、革新社团和进步刊物成立，马克思主义学术研究在北京大学盛行。使北京大学成为了“五四”运动的策源地。蔡元培在“五四”运动这场爱国主义运动中起了关键作用。
