摘    要:随着人类社会步入21世纪,新世纪英语的发展也具备了全球化的特征,英语对于当代的大学生以及21世纪的公民参与未来社会竞争有着举足轻重的作用。因此,大学英语教学的目的绝不只是学生在教师的引导下,获取课文所传达的信息,也不仅仅是让学生掌握课文所包含的词语、词法、句型和语法等语言知识。大学英语教学必须能够培养学生运用语言的能力。从很大程度上讲,判断英语教学成功与否的一个重要标准就是看学生最终能有效地输出多少英语,能够在多大程度上运用英语,为此,本文以第二语言习得理论为指导,强调学习语言应当尊重语言习得的自然规律,在英语教学过程中也应遵循语言习得的规律,针对当代大学生的特点,更有效地提高大学英语教学的质量。

Abstract:As the human society steps into the 21st century,the development of English tends to be increasingly globalized in the new century.English will play an essential role in the future competition among contemporary university students and citizens in the 21st century.Therefore,the purpose of college English teaching is not only to simply teach students the language knowledge such as the word,morphology,sentence pattern and grammar from the textbooks, but also to cultivate the students' competence of using the language.To a larger degree,the measure of judging whether the college English teaching is a successful one lies in the number of English that students can effectively output and competently use.For this reason,this thesis will focus on various methods of learning the language in accordance with the principles of Second Language Acquisition.In the following thesis,the writer attaches great importance to the natural law of Second Language Acquisition in the English teaching and discusses how to substantially improve the quality of English teaching in terms of characteristics of contemporary university students.
