Macroeconomic Consequences of Gender Imbalance:Review and Prospect

The advances and trends of the researches on the relations of sex ratio variables and economic sustainable developments are comprehensively reviewed,including the household economic decision-making behavior,the gender imbalance and savings,the marriage market squeeze and etc.It is pointed out that the household economic decision-making mechanism is the key issues of the gender imbalance effects on the macro-economic variables.Finally,the article propose a general theoretical analysis framework for investigating the gender imbalance in view of the economy,and elaborate the background,the composition and the key mechanisms in detail.It provides the theory and method support for development,and the evaluation of comprehensive promotion governance strategy of the gender equality and imbalance.
